A downloadable game for Windows

Whispering Gospel is a 3D Horror game made in 4 days for the Brackeys Jam 2024.1. Theme: What's behind the door? There are a few optimisation issues and a few small bugs, but the game will be updated over the next few weeks. Mouse + Keyboard or Controller supported!

Whispering Gospel takes inspiration from P.T. with a looping level and progression when key events are discovered by the player, making the level into a puzzle.

[WARNING!] This game has quite a few jump scares and loud audio. There are no audio settings in-game, so make sure to lower your volume before starting (I recommend 30-40% with headphones)

Things to come post-jam:

  • More spooky out-of-cinematic jump scares
  • Better looping teleportation
  • Optimisation (it lags a bit at the moment)
  • Audio + Brightness settings

Due to the game being over 1GB, there is a Google Drive link to the game's .zip file.

The assets, VFX, and SFX are all open source or have been purchased from the UE marketplace. The reference list is available in the Google Drive link.

Thanks for playing!

Very creepy and well done, especially for such a short development time. Only encountered the one issue with the door that had no collision detection that could be walked through to leave the map. Other than that one thing, I really enjoyed this one!

tentei jogar em um pc GTX 1050/ 8GB RAM /i5 e ficou travando muito e não deu para continuar.

Apologies, the optimisation isn’t great due to it being created for a game jam, and I didn’t have time to sort the issue, but I’m planning to come back to it soon!

make version rar?
